Village of Brunate, which lies some 500 meters above Como. It has breathtaking view of the lake, the city and the rest of the Pianura Padana (Po Valley).
Until the second half of the nineteenth century, Brunate was still a small mountain village, isolated from the city, and an ideal hideaway. Nearly half a century later, a paved road was created, which connected this small rural town. To get to Brunate Village you're to take The Brunate Funicular... is a a funicular railway that connects the city of Como with the village of Brunate.
